The crew sneaks into Agastia through the secret port, but Prime Minister Freesia is waiting to ambush them. Freesia gives Gran a chance to withdraw, but the party refuses. Adam volunteers to act as decoy, urging the party to hurry to the Tower and find the Reactor.
Thanks to Adam's rebellion, Gran and the others have successfully infiltrated Agastia.
After docking the airship in the secret port, the party disembarks to find an unwelcome surprise waiting for them.
Freesia
Put your weapons down and your hands behind your heads!
Adam
...
Black Knight
Damn... I can't say this was entirely unexpected...
Adam
Prime Minister Freesia. What are you doing here?
Freesia
General Adam. The biggest reason would be your betrayal.
Freesia
You have so much intel on the empire... You were sure to use it to your advantage.
Freesia
Knowing that, I felt no need to assign extra soldiers to the front gate. You would never risk such a reckless entry.
Freesia
That allowed me to allocate my resources to investigating the secret docks and cast my net over the port with the easiest entry.
Freesia
The strategy wasn't without its risks, but... it looks like today's my lucky day.
Freesia
Now, throw down your weapons, put your hands behind your backs, and go back to your ship. Or else...
With a signal from Freesia, the soldiers surrounding Gran's crew ready their weapons.
However, the sight of a certain man in the party sends a wave of shock and doubt through the ranks of soldiers.
Imperial Soldier 1
Isn't that General Adam? I thought he was apprehended in Agastia for betraying the empire and aiding the outsiders.
Imperial Soldier 2
But... the ship came from outside Agastia. Did he escape his prison cell?
Imperial Soldier 3
That's impossible! I didn't hear any reports about an escapee...
Eugen
Hey. Unless my ears have gone south, you just told us to get back on our ship, didn't you?
Freesia
That's right. Go back to your airship and leave Agastia at once.
Freesia
I have no further reason to do you any harm.
Freesia
I would rather ask you to withdraw than fight a meaningless battle.
Katalina
Does that mean you don't need Lyria or Orchis for your plan anymore?
Freesia
Heh. If you know that much, then that makes things easy...
Freesia
If you are proud denizens of the Sky Realm, then why don't you sit quietly and wait patiently for when I return the skies to their proper course?
Adam
We cannot. You of all people should know the risks associated with using Akasha.
Adam
In the worst-case scenario, you may even lose your own life.
Freesia
Humph. Minor concerns aren't enough to shake my resolve. I will correct this world.
Freesia
Whether or not I'm around to see it is a trivial matter at best.
Freesia
The world must be set right, at literally any cost. I cannot be swayed on this point.
Eugen
Good grief. So I guess we won't be talking her out of it, then.
Black Knight
Humph. That was never my plan.
Black Knight
Personally, I won't be satisfied until I've given her two or three good punches to the face.
Freesia
General Adam. You are the proud symbol of Erste. You should rejoice in amending its history.
Freesia
Why don't you stop this foolishness and come back to us?
Adam
I...
Dialogue Option
You can't!
Adam
...!
Io
Y-yeah! I don't know if you're correcting history or what, but don't go dragging everyone else into it!
Rosetta
Hehe, she's right. Even if our current history is the wrong one, I don't want to lose what we have now.
Eugen
Everyone's got their own story and their own problems, but they've made it work somehow.
Eugen
Callin' that wrong and tryin' to rewrite history... Don't you think that's a bit selfish?
Dialogue Option
I don't want you to!
Freesia
No? Well none of that is important.
Freesia
The important thing isn't how we feel, but whether history is correct. That's all that matters.
Rackam
Give me a break. Is it really that important for history to be correct?
Lecia
If I recall... The Astrals were, in fact, invaders.
Lecia
And it's also true that it was their technology that helped the Sky Realm evolve into what it is today.
Lecia
I sincerely doubt that negating all of that would lead to a correct history.
Katalina
Even if our history is wrong, it's the one where we reside.
Katalina
I don't want to believe that it's right to deny the past that made me who I am today.
Vyrn
We've come this far... And we're not turning back now!
Lyria
That's right! This is all really confusing...
Lyria
But the time we've spent till now... and the people we care about... If they're all in danger, I can't just sit back and do nothing!
Freesia
A declaration of war, is it now?
Black Knight
Humph. Does it sound like anything else to you?
Black Knight
Well... Not that I ever had any intention of settling this with words.
Black Knight
There are a number of reasons for me to destroy you, including this plan of yours.
Black Knight
I hope by now you are prepared to fight.
Freesia
Hah. Empty threats from a cornered dog.
Freesia
Very well. If neither one of us is willing to compromise, there is only one thing left to do.
Freesia
Negotiations are off the table! Capture the lot of them, dead or alive!
Imperial Soldiers
Yes, ma'am!
As the soldiers close in on the crew, Freesia turns and leaves the secret port.
Eugen
Hah! Talkin' was gettin' boring! This is more my speed!
Rackam
I hear ya! It's not gonna be easy, but we'll have to take out all these guys, and then—
Adam
No... Leave this place to me. You all head for the Tower.
Adam
I will guard your airship with my life.
Adam
So please... You must stop the Reactor before it is activated!
Black Knight
It seems we keep forcing you into these situations.
Adam
Do not worry about me. This is my duty.
Black Knight
Indeed.
Katalina
Okay. Then let's hightail it out of here.
Katalina
We head for the Tower in the center of Agastia...
Katalina
And we destroy that awful machine that makes use of both primal power and dark essence—the Reactor!
