While in school, Lyria and Vyrn reflect on recent events, such as the Otherworld invasion that occurred while a battle with the Holy Erste Empire—backed by the True King—ensued. The Otherworld invasion was stopped thanks to the assistance of Loki's crew. Gran and company then made their way to the Oarlyegrande Skydom and helped with the Blue Liberation Front's activities, eventually infiltrating the Royal Philos Institute.

It's just that... so much has happened, and I was trying to gather my thoughts.

I figured I'd fill in my journal now that I had a bit of time to look back.

Yeah, it's been a whirlwind of stuff happenin' ever since we rode that eruption to get back from the Edgelands.

Who could've imagined that the Grandcypher would be too damaged to fly, huh?

I was so afraid that our journey was going to come to an end there.

Same here. And once we made it back, a bunch of guys claimin' to be the Phantagrande Skydom's true rulers showed up.

Called themselves the Holy Erste Empire.
Lyria
They occupied Golonzo and Valtz first, then went after Port Breeze.
Lyria
Fortunately, Orchis and others of the Erste Kingdom happened to be visiting at the time.

That's where we joined in and pushed the Holy Erste guys outta Port Breeze.

That was the start of a war with this new empire.
Lyria
We went after them at Golonzo next. We needed the place back anyway to fix up the Grandcypher.

We were lucky to have the help of Orchid and others there too.
Vyrn
Yep! Not too long after that, we figured out that the Violet Knight and the True King were backin' the Holy Erste Empire.
Lyria
Mm-hm! After recovering Golonzo, we met up with Noa, who was hiding away during the battle.
Lyria
We asked him for help with the Grandcypher's repairs right away.
Vyrn
Sure threw me into a panic when he said it was a no-go since the engine was busted.
Lyria
Just when we were at a loss, Lecia and Walfrid came to us with advice.
Vyrn
Who woulda thought that the sister ship of the Grandcypher, once used by Gran's dad and Walfrid, was still around, huh.
Vyrn
And lucky for us, moving the engine from that sister ship to the Grandcypher was our key to flying again.

Just wish Noa coulda told us that from the get-go if he knew!
Lyria
Ahaha... What Walfrid told us was a real surprise too.

You mean about that mission Gran's dad accepted from the Sky Realm god?

Seems like his journey was about trackin' down the gods and legends of old and freeing them...

Restorin' em back into the intangible realm of belief.

And at journey's end, the special person he brought back to the Sky Realm was...

It was around that time we heard the Holy Erste Empire showed up on Ravi Island and captured Lloyd.

And then we realized that the True King's aim was Akasha, which was sealed inside Lloyd.

Yep. After the Violet Knight captured Lloyd, we set a course for the Nalhegrande Skydom in pursuit of him.
Vyrn
Sucks that we got attacked by Otherworlders right after passing the Grim Basin.
Lyria
Cain and the others at Idelva weren't too pleased when the Otherworlders attacked them too.

But it was also a blessing in a way, because the Violet Knight was also stopped in his tracks.
Vyrn
Still bugs me how the rotten guy called himself an ally of the skies.
Vyrn
Of course, he did promise to give Lloyd back if we handled the Otherworlder threat.
Lyria
Then we went looking for Echidna, whose powers are connected to the Otherworld. But we had little luck finding her...

We bumped into Loki instead, who was strugglin' with the invaders just as much as we were.
Lyria
What a surprise it was to see that Mika had joined Loki's ranks...

Yeah, you just never know what he and his crew might be up to...

Hearin' about Nalhegrande's situation from them was a big help though. Made it clear as day what we had to do next!

We first had to find Echidna, who had likely fallen to the Otherworld, and then shut off the path from there to the Sky Realm.
Lyria
And then we'd need the power of four Nalhegrande Sky Map pieces...

To purge the skies of the Otherworld's influence!

Thing is, we learned from Mikaboshi that there's only three Sky Map pieces in Nalhegrande.

Sure left us in a real bind...

That's when more Otherworlders attacked and took me away...

You, Katalina, Rackam... Even Mikaboshi... Felt like we were all done for.

Gran broke down too all of a sudden. Luckily, Loki had some advice for us.

Gran bein' alive meant that the Otherworld wasn't too far away.

And then we remembered Gran and you share a life link. Gave us confidence that everyone was at least still in one piece!

We did what we could at the time before headin' off to Kluger Island in search of Zeyen, hopin' he'd have some advice and leads for us.

That's when Ferry came runnin' to us, sayin' she heard Gran's voice echoing across the Otherworld.

To get your group back from the Otherworld, Lyria, a strong bond—something like your life link with Gran—would be needed.

Which is how we thought of using the magnetic properties of the Sky Map pieces.

Problem is, we were still missin' the last map piece.
Vyrn
It was Zeyen who told us that the fourth piece and the primal beast Ares were lost long ago by the hand of Gran's dad.

It must all be fate how everything was connected. Including my fall to the Otherworld...

It offered to withdraw all Otherworld forces as long as we gave up Gran, myself, and you, Lyria.

It rambled on about injustices committed by the sky god and Astral god... and what me and Lyria really are...

Mika said that I'm a container for primal beasts, while you're a container for their power...

We were created by a god to be nothing more than that... Pitiful containers that would meet our demise when we were later consumed...

Was a real shocker hearin' all that... My mind practically went blank.
Vyrn
I could hardly believe my ears when the envoy said Gran's got it even worse.
Vyrn
Because of a conflict between the Astral god and sky god, on top of losing precious family time...

Our captain was forced to become the singularity by gettin' to know us, only to then be targeted by the gods...

But Gran didn't bat an eye and rejected the envoy's negotiations!

By that point, I no longer had any doubts about staying with Gran until the end!

Once negotiations broke down, the envoy unleashed Echidna on us—she was corrupted by the Otherworld at that point.

Gran went into a daze durin' battle, possibly because the life link was wearin' out.
Vyrn
Boy was I a nervous wreck at the time. But when I asked later...

Some girl in dreamland had apparently asked about Gran's determination to continue travelin'.
Vyrn
And then after a show of resolve, Gran was able to hear your voice!

Hm... Maybe our wish to return to the Sky Realm had gotten through.
Lyria
Katalina mastering the inner teachings with Ares and then materializing her Sky Map piece must have made a difference.
Lyria
Then Ferry showed up to guide us back to the Sky Realm!

When I saw everyone again, I was so happy I could cry!

Heheh, Gran's power was restored too the moment you got back.
Vyrn
We freed Echidna from the Otherworlders and sent 'em back where they belong! Then she gave us her map piece...

Meaning we finally had all four Nalhegrande Sky Map pieces in hand.

And then Mika used her Astral power to restore the skies to their natural blue, purging them of Otherworldly corruption!

Too bad we didn't have long to celebrate though.

The Violet Knight wasted no time breaking his promise, runnin' off with Lloyd.

But thanks to Loki's crew looking into his motives, we were able to track him down right away!

Plus me and Gran managed to restore Akasha after getting Lloyd back.
Lyria
We went through so many twists and turns, but I'm just glad everyone was okay in the end!

And after all that, we took a trip back home to Zinkenstill.

The village granny took that opportunity to tell us about the village's connection to the True King from a generation ago. Never saw that one comin'!

So Gran had no choice but to continue traveling if he wanted to learn more about his dad.

We made the decision to finally set foot in the Oarlyegrande Skydom!
Vyrn
Wasn't expectin' a welcome party from the True King himself after we passed the Grim Basin though.
Lyria
The True King... He acted as if the Akasha incident was no concern at all, which had me worried.
Vyrn
Guy was a real snob, all right.
Vyrn
Loved braggin' about how he's conquered five of the seven major skydoms.
Vyrn
Strippin' the people of their freedom leads to equality and happiness for all, eh?

Gimme a break, True King! You just wanna put everyone under your control!
Lyria
He gave us some insight into his thoughts but... after what we'd been through, joining him just didn't seem right.
Vyrn
You said it, Lyria! It's a good thing Gran turned him down flat out.
Vyrn
Then as if to spite us for rejectin' him, he came for our lives next... Geez, what's the guy's deal!
Lyria
That's when the Blue Liberation Front broke through the castle wall and came to our rescue.

We partnered up with 'em as soon as we found out they were an anti-True King resistance.
Vyrn
Still though...

Ahaha... Who could've guessed that would lead to us going undercover in a school like this, huh?
