Guillota has another nightmare, which then merges into a vision of Irotis telling a BLF member that they must protect a box called the star coffer at all costs. Before Guillota wakes up, she peeks inside the coffer but can't make out what's inside. Once awake, she realizes that the blue scarf had turned into a mask, just like the ones used on Libertaria Island.
Guillota
Ouch!
Guillota suddenly crashes onto a hard floor.
Guillota
Cough, gasp! What the hell just happened!
Her eyes water from the sharp pain coursing through her body.
???
...
Guillota
Aaah!
Guillota leaps back in surprise at the sight of a man and woman hanging from nooses.
Guillota
Oh... Great... This again...
Running her hand along her own neck, she feels the texture of a rope. One end is frayed from where it had snapped.
Guillota
This is an old dream...
Looking at the two figures swaying gently from the ceiling, she wearily sighs.
Guillota
Popping into my dreams only to die in a fire or an accident... Mom and Dad sure know how to keep busy.
Guillota sits down on the ground, staring up at her parents.
A piece of paper in her father's hand flutters to the floor.
Guillota
...
It swirls around on the floor, the words "debt collection notice" written on one side.
Guillota
I turned down the inheritance, y'know.
The paper instantly vanishes, but her gaze remains fixed on where it had once been.
Guillota
Zarazustra and I are similar in some ways.
Guillota
He was revived from the brink of death by the kingdom's system, while I was pushed to the brink by a flaw in the laws.
She removes the severed rope from her neck and tosses it away.
Guillota
I never thought I'd be in a mess like this, what with my cheap attorney fees and an endless backlog of cases...
Raclitus
...
Guillota
Is it time for me to weaponize the law? Fine, so be it. Work is work.
???
"Look for the coffer at the bottom of the blue."
Guillota
Wonder what the coffer is.
???
This coffer.
Guillota
...!
Irotis
It must be protected at all costs. Even if that means...
BLF 1
I know. I'm prepared to make the ultimate sacrifice.
Irotis
I hope you can forgive me. I truly do. Everyone was arrested...
BLF 1
No. My life pales in comparison to what you've lost.
Irotis
Sob...
Guillota
This... isn't a dream?
BLF 1
Don't blame yourself. Everyone is in good spirits.
Irotis
That doesn't change the fact that they were expelled from the islands they were born and raised on! They lost their names! Their identities!
BLF 1
It was for the coffer's sake. There's simply no way around it.
Guillota
Hey! Can you hear me? If you can, would you mind telling me what the coffer is?
Irotis
Though it may birth a great calamity... Though it may incite the Otherworld...
They can't hear Guillota.
Irotis
This coffer... the star coffer... It mustn't be given to anyone!
Guillota
...!
Guillota senses she's about to wake up. She runs as fast as she can toward Irotis and peers into the coffer.
Guillota
What the heck is this!
There's someone inside the coffer, though it's hard to make out who.
Guillota
...
Was that a dream or a vision? Something slides off her face, and she has her answer.
Guillota
Isn't this one of those masks they use in Libertaria?
The mask that clattered on the floor reverts back to the blue scarf given to her by the shrine priestess.
Guillota
Libertaria's masks replay the memories of their originators if I'm not mistaken.
Guillota
Those red eyes... Was that Irotis? And what was inside that coffer? I have no idea who'd have such memories.
Guillota
I can't believe I got stuck with the craziest court case ever, and I've got the nightmares to prove it.
Slouching down in her chair, she covers her face with her hands and bemoans her situation.
