With the Otherworldly river defeated, Gran and the others reach the top of the tower. The White Knight tells Gran that the shrine priestess, also known as Gran's aunt, has just left. In gratitude for protecting the prison tower, the White Knight reveals to the crew that the BLF was formed at the same time the Otherworld invaded the Sky Realm.
Katalina
Heads up! Get ready, Lyria!
Lyria
Okay!
Katalina and Lyria
...!
Otherworldly River
...!
Determined to stop the Otherworldly river that erodes life force, the crew double their efforts.
Io
Rosetta!
Rosetta
Right!
The thick, thorny vines of Rosetta's barrier entangle the mass.
Eugen
Do it, Rackam!
Rackam
On it!
Water, the essence of life, strengthens the rose barrier even further.
A vivacious gust of wind scoops up blossomed roses and rains down their petals, ridding the prison of the stench of death.
Otherworldly River
...!
Vyrn
That thing was pure craziness... We've never seen anything like it before.
White Knight
For once we are in total agreement. That was a struggle beyond the imagination.
Katalina
White Knight!
White Knight
Stand down. I have no intention of fighting you right now. The prison has suffered enough damage as it is.
Gran seems confused by the White Knight's concern for the tower.
White Knight
This prison tower is Duat's—or rather I should say Istavion's—symbol of law.
White Knight
If it were to fall, the kingdom would find itself slipping down a slope of ruin.
White Knight
Allow me to express my gratitude for your aid in preventing the Otherworlder from destroying this building. I honestly wasn't sure if the fiend was going to do it or not.
Katalina
Can we be assured of your cease-fire?
White Knight
Yes. My only intention is to express thanks on behalf of His Majesty and to hand this woman over to you.
Guillota
H-hiya, gang... It's been a rough day for all of us, hasn't it?
Zarazustra
Guillota! Are you all right?
Zarazustra
What happened to Raclitus?
White Knight
He should be fine. When the Otherworld attacked, the prison's transfer mechanism kicked in and sent him somewhere safe.
White Knight
Only the viceroy knows where he was sent, but as long as he's with the shrine priestess, I don't see a problem.
Dialogue Option
Did you say "shrine priestess"?
White Knight
Correct. The very same one who was brought from Zinkenstill long ago.
Lyria
Gasp! But isn't that Gran's...
White Knight
Correct again. The venerable child's aunt, who was being imprisoned along with the death row inmate.
White Knight
However, I certainly had no idea she was being detained here.
The shrine priestess was the catalyst for the conflict between Gran and the True King, and they just missed her.
Dialogue Option
Why are you telling me this?
Thinking it odd for the White Knight to purposely let slip a highly classified secret pertaining to Istavion, the captain is filled with suspicion.
White Knight
That's for you to decide. I am only reporting on the well-being of your relative.
White Knight
Since I owe your crew a debt for engaging the Otherworldly intruder before it could wreck the tower, I'll tell you one more thing.
White Knight
This information pertains to the timing at which the BLF was formed.
White Knight
I heard the group came into existence at around the same time the Otherworld began its incursion into the Sky Realm.
White Knight
It may be mere coincidence, but I cannot be certain either way. Considering what just happened, I believe it's safe to assume there's a correlation.
White Knight
The BLF isn't simply a resistance group. It has another layer to it.
Rackam
What's that supposed to mean?
White Knight
How many flukes can there be before they stop being flukes? Your IDs are awfully convenient, I might add.
Vyrn
Urk! You knew about those?
White Knight
I'll keep pretending I didn't. In exchange, I ask that you all keep quiet about everything you've witnessed in this prison.
White Knight
If it's for the good of protecting this kingdom, I will call upon the help of your competent crew. Until we meet again.
The White Knight leaps out of a tower window.
No one moves. They don't even run to the window to peek outside. Instead they stand rooted to the ground in utter astonishment.
